Northern IL Reds 13U

The Northern IL Reds 13U baseball team finished first in the UCOY Spring Sweep baseball tournament in Yorkville, IL last weekend. The tournament featured 10 teams from throughout northern Illinois. In pool play, the Reds beat the Yorkville Foxes by a score of 14-4 and Kaneland Travel 8-3. Going into bracket play on Sunday as the number 2 seed, they beat Kaneland Travel again by a score of 8-3 and advanced to the semi-finals to defeat the Will County Elite by a score of 14-4. The Reds faced the number 1 seed Lockport Vipers in the championship game and beat them 6-5 in a back and forth contest.
