The REDS were founded in 2005 by Yorkville resident and coach, Steve Hanson.
The vision, created by Coach Hanson, was to provide opportunities for year round baseball instruction as well as a high level of competitive play during the regular season.
Coaching Biography:
~ 12 years travel baseball coaching experience, consisting of over 500 games.
~ 14U Baseball Players Association National Champions
~ 2 State Championships
~ Coached 14 Division 1 players
~ Coached in WWBA National Championship East Cobb, Georgia
~ Coached in USSSA World Championship Kissimmee, FL
~ Coached in USSSA International World Series Crystal Lake, IL
~ Coached teams against Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and Japan
~ WWBA Kernels Foundation 2nd place finish
~ Coached for 5 years at Aurora Christian High School (3 Regional Champions, 1 Sectional Championship)
~ Assistant Baseball Coach at Benedictine University for 1 year at Benedictine University
~ Hosted baseball camps with Larry Corrigan (Anaheim Angels Assistant GM), Billy Corrigan (MinnesotaTwins Scout, Florida) and Lin Dailey (Chicago White Sox Associate Scout)
~ Also served as Varsity Basketball Coach at Aurora Christian School (Sectional Championship 2011);
named to IBCA Hall of Fame and named Illinois Basketball Coaches’ Assn. Coach of the Year in 2011.
